Taken as-is, it's a cool survivor with a lot of practicality built right in. Gm's wagons of the late-60s and early '70s are some of the most attractive of all time. Sure, they were designed to be practical, but there was no reason why they couldn't also be stylish and sporty like this chevelle malibu. Repainted years ago in factory-style tan, it has a low-profile look that works extremely well with the tinted windows and shiny wheels. Aggressive, but not too much. This is a cool piece! The tan interior is in great shape and it's ready for a cross-country road trip with the family. The materials are durable and low-maintenance, and the patters are upscale so this wagon is at home just about anywhere. It's simply too nice to be original, and with black carpets up front, there's a handsome contrast that works rather well. Chevelle owners will feel instantly at home behind the wrap-around instrument panel, and to the owner's credit, it hasn't been hacked up; the original am radio is still in place and factory gauges monitor the vitals. Options include factory a/c (needs to be serviced) as well as power steering and brakes, both of which are probably mandatory on a car this big. There's plenty of space in the back seat for real-sized adults and obviously that cargo bay will swallow just about anything. The engine is the original, numbers-matching 350 cubic inch v8 that's silky smooth and torquey enough to make the wagon feel quick. It looks right under the hood, too, with chevy orange on the engine itself, a stock air cleaner assembly, and no signs of meddling with the factory formula. A few bits of chrome were added along the line, and a weekend of detailing could really pay dividends here. It's backed by a th350 3-speed automatic transmission that's always ready to grab another gear, as well as a sturdy 10-bolt rear end out back. New parts include rear springs, shocks and tie rods, so it rides and handles right, and there's a new flowmaster dual exhaust system for a bit of aural excitement. The underside is clean if a little crusty, and those flashy torque thrust wheels and fat bfgoodrich radials give it a hot rod look. This is a lot of cool v8 hauler for not a lot of cash. Fit and finish are exactly right for a vehicle designed "for economical transportation" as the door tag suggests, and the respray (the only one it ever had) gives it a pleasing shi. Sure, it still packs its original six-cylinder engine, but that's all part of the charm, and the upgrades it does have are smart so it really needs no apologies AM/FM

A Camaro is always going to get noticed, but this dark green F-body is a bit more subtle than most and perhaps that explains the low mileage and lack of modifications; it was owned by a grown-up. Gaps are tight, the panels line up as they should, and details are sharp, all hallmarks of craftsmen who excel at their work and low mileage care. Code K Artesian Turquoise is this car's original color, and remarkably enough, the paint was refinished in the 1980s and still looks great

Despite tightening smog regulations, 1973 was a good year for Camaros, and this cool Z28 has a neat color combination that makes it one of the more appealing second-generation F-bodies we've had in a while. In fact, it's a legitimate Z28, making it somewhat rare for the guys who are into that sort of thing Bucket Seats

Chevy's monte carlo has done it all, from the banks of talladega to the show field. From almost any angle, it looks great and thanks to a recent repaint, it just glows in the sun. Panel alignment also suggests that this has always been an extremely clean car that needed no major surgery and original paint in the jambs proves that it has never been apart (it certainly feels tight). The details like the raised fenders are still crisp, the chrome and trim is in good condition and all the original badges and markings have been retained. A brand new brown padded vinyl roof gives it a formal look, with no signs of damage or rust underneath. Although gm called the monte carlo a "personal" luxury car, there's plenty of room inside. All the buttons on the tufted seats and door panels remain in place and the dash pad shows no cracking or uv damage. The gauge panel was similar to that found in a chevelle (in fact, monte carlo dashes are often used to create fake ss chevelles) and the gauges are in excellent condition with bright markings and needles. The burled walnut appliques are still crisp and clear and a tilt steering column makes it easy to get comfortable. It's not heavily optioned, but the important one, factory a/c, is a welcome addition. There's also a nicely appointed trunk with a full-sized spare that might just be original. Personal luxury also meant performance, with this monte carlo packing a 402 cubic inch v8 topped by a 4-barrel carb. Even though it was recently serviced and treated to all new seals, it's not hard to believe this is a clean, low-mileage car and they took that opportunity to really dress up the engine bay. Custom valve covers are the most notable addition, but under that factory air cleaner there's a k&n element as well as a fresh carburetor and aluminum intake manifold. The recent service work also includes new belts and hoses, making it ready to enjoy. It's a big block car, so the th400 3-speed automatic transmission was the appropriate choice, and it spins a 12-bolt rear full of easy-cruising gears that give the big coupe great highway manners. Underneath it's very clean, with no frame damage and solid floors, as well as a dual exhaust system that sounds great without being intrusive. And there's simply no better rolling stock on one of these cars than a set of factory rallys, with these wearing a newer set of fat blackwall radials. Documented with the original protect-o-plate, owner's manual, title and ownership documents (including the original cancelled check!), build sheet, and window sticker, there's a lot of history behind this car. People keep expecting these to skyrocket in value, so perhaps this is the one that will be the smart investment for the future. Air Conditioning

Even the 'SS' badge on the grille is subtle, leading many to speculate that GM engineers were sneaking these cars out the door without widespread approval from the brass. Keeping a low profile was vital to the Nova's street cred, so the classic and understated color lets the hardware underneath do all the talking. It's a real-deal code 18 V8 SS with some nice upgrades to create a wonderful car that's still a blast to drive Bucket Seats✔ AM/FM✔ Air Conditioning

This 1966 chevrolet nova is a deceptive car. It's quite nicely built inside and out with quality that is tangible in every single component on the car, and with a stout 383 stroker motor under the hood, it's also seriously potent on the street. Paint doesn't get much nicer than the bright blue on this handsome nova. It's pretty close to the chevy's famous marina blue, and the look remains timeless. Not only did they not have the technology in 1966 to make a car look this nice, they didn't have the time! On the other hand, there are no stripes, no fake ss badges, no wings, just crisply folded sheetmetal and bright chrome trim that makes this car look a lot more expensive than it is. The interior is equally attractive and equally well-finished, with soft fawn upholstery with bench seats and plenty of eye candy. It's always cool to see a high-performance bench seat car, particularly one outfitted like this one, which includes a 4-point cage behind the seat and more race hardware throughout. The soft interior color is at odds with its performance intentions, and it's still quite handsome with a shiny dash, handsome carbon-fiber steering wheel, and aftermarket gauges in their own panel in the center of the dash. But it's not pure racer, not with a great-sounding am/fm/cd stereo system with remote. A small block is a natural fit here, and the 383 cubic inch stroker puts big block power in a small block package. The usual upgrades help it make serious horsepower and with a big aluminum radiator up front, it never gets cranking in the heat. Afr aluminum heads, edelbrock intake manifold, holley carburetor, full msd ignition system, and fresh wiring mean it's ready to rock. A th400 3-speed automatic transmission feeds a heavy-duty ford 9-inch rear end with 3. 55s inside, providing just the right balance between acceleration and highway comfort. The tub is reinforced with subframe connectors and monoleaf springs use traction bars to plant the giant tires. Cragar mag wheels are era-correct and carry 165/80/15 front and 325/50/15 rear mickey thompson radials. A very impressive build that's a great blend of performance and comfort. AM/FM

All the chrome and stainless is original, and it's exceptional from the grille to the Bel Air script and logo on the front fenders.
